Women’s Venture Fund to Host Award Ceremony and 2018 Invest-athon

New York, NY, May 9, 2018—Women’s Venture Fund (WVF) hosts women business leaders at its annual Highest Leaf Award on Tuesday, May 15 at the Harvard Club. Following the awards breakfast, clients will pitch their businesses at the annual Invest-athon before a panel of angel investors.

WVF honors leading women whose business or professional accomplishments positively impact their industry and exemplify an entrepreneurial spirit in the workplace. Lynda Baquero, award-winning reporter for NBC 4 News, investigates consumer complaints for her program Better Get Baquero and also hosts Visiones which views on the Saturday edition of Weekend Today in New York.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Delilah Mahl, Managing Director, Global Relationship Management, Citigroup
  • Marian Nakada, VP, Venture Investments, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JJDC, Inc
  • JoAnn H. Price, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Fairview Capital Partners

The pitch event, Invest-athon, will follow Immediately following the awards ceremony at the same venue, Harvard Club at 35 W. 44th Street. Maria Otero, Founder and President of WVF says “our clients are running thriving businesses representing a wide variety of industries.
