With the help of a dedicated team of volunteers, WVF has supported women entrepreneurs in establishing and growing their businesses in the NY metro area.
Today, one-third of local small businesses are likely to shutter in the city due to COVID-19. The closure has most harmed the enterprises led by women of color. We are focusing our in-person counseling, credit, and technical assistance service to minority women whose businesses have suffered due to COVID-19.
We need an influx of talent like yours to accelerate the growth of many more neighborhood businesses run by women entrepreneurs in these challenging times.
Even before the pandemic, we worked with women of color that were stalled because the entrepreneur’s management skills needed further development to implement her plans successfully. We know the barriers to the success of female entrepreneurship. To break down these barriers, we need to change the mindset of many of our clients to embrace what it means to become a business leader in the “new normal.”
By helping us in our initiatives you can change the business outcomes of our hard-working clients and elevate their enterprises to the next level.
