As proof, she once closed a 5.5 million dollar deal from a cold call!  She also knows how to make a great first impression; she once sent a three-foot-tall steel pyramid to Star Wars director George Lucas as part of a client pitch. That yielded approximately 60 million dollars in revenue for her client.

In 2002, Laura decided to harness the power of the pitch when she co-founded 15-SecondPitch.com, a website dedicated to helping individuals create a better pitch that they could deliver  in just 15 seconds. Now, as The Pitch Girl, she helps job seekers and entrepreneurs hone their skills.Laura has been featured in ADWEEK, TimeOut NewYork, The Wall Street Journal, NY Times.com and The Financial Times. She was interviewed on-air for ABC News, NY1 News, and the Associated Press.

Gia Morón is Founder and President of GVM Communications, Inc., a boutique public relations and brand development consulting firm.  Since launching her firm in 2012, she has worked with various small businesses and non-profit organizations.  Gia’s interest in working with small businesses and charitable organizations started on Wall Street where she was a Media Relations Officer at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for fifteen years in the Corporate Communications Department.  During her time at GS,  Gia oversaw various business areas from Private Equity, Urban Investment, Investment Research and Technology to the firm’s organizational focus on Corporate Engagement, Diversity, Recruiting, Human Resources and Corporate Services.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, Gia was Director of Promotions and Publicity for six years at The Fremantle Corporation, an international television distribution and production company.  Outside of her professional accomplishments, she continuously works with a number of non-profit organizations in  Brooklyn, NY, where she still resides.
